Friends making music for charitable causes
The London Doctors Orchestra and Choir is an exciting ensemble set up by a small group of West London doctors who were keen to keep their musical interests going well beyond university. Our members range from junior doctors through to consultants, other healthcare staff as well as some vets and other professions. After months of planning, the first rehearsal was in October 2009 with the first and very exciting concert in February 2010 in which we performed Brahms' 'St. Anthony Chorale' Variations, Haydn's 'St. Nicholas' Mass and Mozart's Symphony No. 40. Since then the group has gone from strength to strength.
Rehearsals are kept relaxed and sociable, the perfect opportunity to meet some new friendly people and held monthly to help fit in around everyones busy working lives, with concerts planned every six months. Within the London Doctors Orchestra and Choir are both an orchestra and choir; expect more additions as we grow and develop. We are always looking for new members for both the choir and orchestra, regardless of previous experience. Please do get in touch if you are interested joining or would like some more information.
